I live about 30 minutes outside of Austin, Texas, on the shore of Lake Travis. The property I live on has been in my family for 3 generations. I am very close to my family and we enjoy spending time together.
I am an avid gardener, extreme animal lover and a lover of plants. I enjoy spending time in nature and recharging my energy outdoors. I also enjoy cooking and trying new recipes.
I love to learn, share and discuss deep ideas. My passion is to help others thrive naturally.
Weight Journey Summary
I am one of those people who have been overweight as far back as I can remember. Shame, fear and seclusion defined my experience. I have done almost every diet out there: calorie restriction, meal replacements, binging and purging, pharmaceutical intervention, personal trainer and 1:1 nutrition counseling.
Many of these methods, while stressful, worked for a time. However, sustainability was an issue.
I had never really focused to make real changes to my mindset, identity, or overall approach.
It all changed when someone very dear to me had their cancer return. At the same time, I found myself without a job and a opportunity to re-think the direction of my life.
I since spent years re-educating myself on nutrition, learning herbal medicine and exploring natural methods to self-heal and reverse disease.
My Education and Support
I have always enjoyed figuring out the way things worked, find science challenging and wanted to make a difference in people’s lives.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Bio-medical Science from Texas A&M University. My studies were heavy in bio-chemistry, anatomy, physiology and animal behavior.
I have spent over 13 years in the clinical pharmaceutical industry with a focus on coordinating and auditing investigative new human drug trials. My specialties included cardiology, arthritis and oncology.
In 2015, I left pharma for a more holistic health path to help myself and others. My goal is to focus on the underlying causes of disease vs. masking the symptoms, leading to chronic pharmaceutical use. Food is medicine, I have experienced this first hand!
I founded Autumn's Harvest, LLC to share health and wellness information, to discuss methods of transformation, disease prevention and/or reversal, beyond just the clients I coach.
